My PSP which is a UK one and was received on Tuesday has 14 dead white pixels. I told Amazon which is where I got it from and they sent me the Sony Customer Service Helpline number 08705 998877.

I called them yesterday and they apologised profusely for it, asked for the serial number and then said they would come round the next day and exchange it. They said they needed the PSP, battery and mains charger. I could keep everything else. They would then leave behind a replacement.

Is this normal or is something dodgy going on?

Do they check the one they are going to give you as a replacement first or do you just get a brand new one in a box and its simply a case of opening and hoping you have a better version with no pixels?
