Does anybody know if any of Sony's CD player Hi-Fi seperates have coaxial outputs on them or are they all connected via optical connection?

If you are looking specifically for a Coaxial output on a Sony CDP then you will have to buy a QS or ES range player, the newer model like the entry level 70 series only feature optical toslinked players, although you can buy the SCDXB770B/S SACD/CD player this has a coaxial output.

    http://www.sony.co.uk

The QS range players with coaxial outputs are IIRC :

CDPX730 & 740 (Available from Empire Direct the last time I looked)
    CDPX920 930 & 940 (As noted by Bagapapa above)
CDP3000ES (Mini sized hi end ES CDp)
    SCD-333 ES (Sacd player)
    SCD-555 ES ditto
    SCD-777 ES ditto.

BTW try to aim for a Coaxial output, its a better connection should you wish to ever upgrade the player by adding an offbboard DAC. Check out my last post in the Progress of CDs thread for some veritable bargain availables secind hand wise, my tip Ive never heard many bad words about Sony ES CD players even old ones.
