    I think this is the problem that loads of people have been screaming about for months in This Thread. It is mainly Canon cams mentioned, but other makes including Sony are known to be affected.
    When the thread was first started Canon were denying that there was a fault with the cams and charging for the repairs, but for a while now they have been offering a free of charge repair if the cause was a faulty CCD. At least in part I think it was this forum that caused Canon to do the U-Turn and offer the FOC repairs.

    Very useful info fcat, though well aware of the Canon fault, I wasn't aware about the sony fault, Will be checking the numbers on the PD's, cheers mate.
