      Hi guys

I have my 65ZD9 on order in the UK. When it arrives I will take pics and post my initial settings. Going to use my calibrated settings from my 55x4500 as a base point! Be good to get other users settings as well

To OP, congrats! I have one on order too eta w/c 5th Sept. You seem to have 2 owners threads - any chance you can delete one or merge as could get confusing where to post.

      Thanks

Ok guys, tv is on my wall and turned on. It's blindingly bright!!! The colours are phenomenal, the blacks are OLED like, the shadow detail is stunning!

Ignore the blooming effect on the second photo, it's my phone. No blooming at all (still daylight). I observed zero banding or DSE for now, but will have to do more testing tonight.

Enjoy your TV, and don't get bombarded with requests from us lot ;)

But........ when you get a chance can we see what the uniformity looks like across the screen ie any bands/DSE, also what are corners like on a plain white screen?

I had professional help mate, we finished in 30 mins (including drilling).

The software is Android 6.0.1 (May 1st patch). No update available.

The Americans have Android 6.0.3, so we are behind them again.

Thanks for sharing and great to get an AVF owner finally :)

Mine should arrive next week (uk 65) so will be very keen to know your impressions in a home setting as I saw the JL one in London which seems to have some issues.

      Thanks again :)

      Hope not mate.

In 15 mins since turning on I observed no uniformity problems. But we will have to wait for night time for some testing, including UHD blu rays, regular blu rays and HDR.

Still struggling a bit to set motion according to my taste.

 Congrats and it is looking spectacular so far ! Just and F.Y.I. if you are not aware ... in another forum from across the west side of the Pond from the U.K. there is a Z9D Owners "Settings" Thread that may or may not help with any issues you may (hopefully not) come across ! :)

Viewing angles are very good for an LCD, but not even close to OLED.

What makes me very happy is no posterisation, top notch upscaling of SD content and beautiful colours.

From what I read on other forums, you see DSE and banding on the set-up screen, if you are unfortunate enough to suffer from it, so if you didn't see it there you should be good.

One of the pictures posted was shockingly bad banding-wise. Hope you guys get good ones.

That's exactly where I looked for DSE and didn't notice anything. No problems with the corners either.

This bloody thing is so bright you won't believe it! I am afraid to play a 100% white slide, my eye sight won't be able to handle it :)

Any chance you could please check what software build you have? The below is the much discussed 75" in John Lewis Oxford Street with bad motion and some off axis blooming. Although not sure if the 65" would have the same software.

      Enjoy your TV!

Hi, yep I saw that but the 'build id' has more details (as per the picture). Wanted to check if there was a new build using 6.0.1 to fix the issues seen in the JL Oxford Street TV.

      Cheers

Uniformity test....passed! The camera is distorting the images somewhat, in person it's absolutely clean.

That is my major concern, uniformity.

Does it behave similarly when showing panning shots on clear background like sky, clouds, snow or football?

I know that you might not have had chance to check all that but if you have the time and material please let us know.

Congratulations and all the best with the new toy.
