Sony Bravia wifi adapter

Anyone know if I need a specific wifi adapter for my Sony Bravia wifi-ready LCD HDTV? I have a random one I used for a laptop but my TV says it can't be used.

No, only the Sony one will work. You'll find a long thread about it on here already, no alternatives other than to run a wire or use homeplugs (200 mpbs or faster is recommended)
