Question SONY BRAVIA KD55X8509C Is this Normal?

Hi,

I have the SONY BRAVIA KD55X8509C tv, when I view in the dark, there are lighter blobs as in the picture around the corners. Is this normal or would you take it back if you were me?

Viewing sky movies on a black background before a film, but the same on any black image in the dark.

Regards,

Graham

Hi, I would say this is fairly normal for this tv, all have it to some degree. I have seen better but also much worse.

If you send it back I guess you risk getting a much worse set.

In normal viewing with the backlight at about 10 do you notice it?

It's such a shame we have these problems with tvs when we spend so much money on them

Thanks for the reply. I think I will live with it. Just come from a Panasonic Plasma GT50 which didn't have that problem.

To be honest I'd be sending that back. I have the 65x8509 nothing like that, see pic
