Sony Bravia - I have to ask this question

Mate of mine asked me this question.

He has a TV as above - virtually new and is moving house - they are in possition to buy a new one and still hold on to old house - anyway he isn't to well so his wife has been moving bit's from old to new - he asked if we should bring TV now and she put her head in hands and said she broke it !! - Seems she was taking down some surround speakers and dropped one gouging some furniture and hitting TV screen putting a baseball size dent in screen and star marks-- he said he can't feel anything so it's inside -- OK is it scrap or repairable -- I have asked if they are insured but US is 6hrs behind us so no reply yet.:(

If the screen has broken, it's scrap. The cost of a new screen is almost as much as the tv.

If their house insurance has accidental damage cover they could try claiming on that.
