For Sale:

Both these items are just short of 4 years old, purchased together at end of November 2017 from a nearby respected franchise dealer. The extended Screen Warranty runs until 28.11.2022

They are both in immaculate condition, with no visible marks and no visible screen burn or artefacts. (The TV has a Sony built-in in programme facility for Screen-Clean,but which has been rarely used.)

Furthermore, our household is a “smoke free and child-free zone”!

Both these devices have their own Remote Controls.

I am selling only because I wish to upgrade, otherwise I have been totally delighted at this fantastic set-up from the get-go.

A note about my set-up: The TV, whilst being able to stand alone on the “curiously iconic” Sony “lean-back A Frame” method (the rear support leg being the built-in “dual bass module”), would need the TV screen to be raised a few inches off the top support-stand shelf, if using a soundbar on the same shelf, to avoid obscuring a small section of the bottom edge of the screen . See the attached images for a better idea. So I obtained a very attractive Alphason Lithium low level support stand. When using this, one also needs an an Alphason optional vertical support bracket onto which the TV itself is mounted…(again.. see the attached images.) This arrangement makes for a very neat support arrangement ,which allows plenty of adjustment opportunities, but once set in the desired configuration needs no further attention.

Regrettably I am not selling my own Alphason stand, since I shall need it for my upgrade!

There are no boxes or original packagings, therefore these items must be Collected Only… from Copthorne, Nr Crawley West Sussex.(Very close to Gatport Airwick)

Payment either in Cash on Collection or via Bank Transfer. I am asking £1500 for the package. (Original costs 4 years ago were £3500 for the TV and £1400 for the Soundbar)

Thanks for the advice. BTW..there is quite a significant difference between the 55 "and 65" Sony A1 models when they are new and indeed I have observed similar differences second hand.

I might be interested in just the TV if you were to split but would need to be at a much more reasonable price. Last sales on eBay started with £5.....

Thanks for that.. I am prepared to sell my two items separately.. but just wondered if you were serious about the starting price for the Sony 65A1 you saw on eBay! Not five quid, I am sure unless it was knackered, or for spares or something!! I have seen one recently starting at a thousand! And another one started at about 700 I seem to recall. These things cost 3.5K new.. Mine still has a years warranty on it. Let me know if you have a serious and proper offer! But thanks for your interest anyway! BW IP

Sounds like I need to be thinking about £650 for my Sony 65A1 then..
Thanks, would you mind confirming where the TV was purchased and if warranty is transferable.
If you could also PM me your post code so I could check how far from me you are .

Good evening Mr B. The wife wants something new with a long warranty, keeps showing alternative TVs around this price, either 55 inch or Nano cell etc. None are my dream TV but she makes a extremely strong case, sorry.

Following disappointment of what seemed like a serious interest here,in my Sony A1 Oled, I want to separately re-offer both my items (the Sony 65” A1 Oled and the Sony ST5000 Soundbar with Woofer), before I advertise them elsewhere.

Based on what I have observed elsewhere, whereby 2 Sony A1’s recently sold for £775 and £745 , I would split those prices down the middle and ask for £760 for the A1; For the ST5000 Soundbar, I have seen achieved prices between £500 and £560.

On that basis I would accept £530 as being “down the middle”.

If anyone wants to take both items together, let us call it £1275 for both the 65A1 and ST5000. Bear in mind the A1 has a year to run on the Sony extended warranty. I re-iterate that these are for collection only, given their sizes, weights and bulkiness.

Thanks for your interest.

My gear is still available if anyone is interested. Have been otherwise occupied and distracted this last few weeks!
Hope you all had a great Christmas Day, today! Back to the serious business of buying kit from now on! Best wishes AV-Forumers! IP

Apologies.. I thought that "haggling"(aka The Bay!) was not permitted or frowned on. Will post any final result here. The offer was way off..IP
Sorry it was not the offer you would of liked, but I was just going off the last sold on ebay and you get to dodge the FVF (14%?) I think you are allowed to make offers on here unless the seller explicitly states otherwise.

Ran some math and the only 3 found on ebay advanced search that wasn't relisted or best offer, approximately £586 (£510 after fvf), £745 (£650 after fvf) and £650 (£565 after fvf). I will leave my offer open providing you have original packaging, ty

On the contrary, haggling is encouraged, but it must remain on the thread until a deal is agreed upon. Any negotiations made via PM will incur trading restrictions for yourself and the buyer.

Sorry, I dont have the original packaging, regardless of any agreed offers. Nowhere to store any such cardboard packaging! That shouldn't realistically prevent any purchase going ahead! I would consider £700 for it, if you drop the packaging stipulation!
