Sony Bravia 40" KDL40V2000U

I've been considering getting a new TV for a few months now... originally I was gonna spend about £1300 but things have gone a little tighter so I decided to leave it for a while... until today. I've seen this Sony Bravia 40" LCD... it's £899 here on play but there's a silver one in Sainsbury's at the moment for £899 (seems like the same TV but just silver). Anyway, is this black one any good? I don't watch much TV at all (pretty much none really). I use my TV to watch DVD's and play games (got a 360). I know it's not 'pure' HD (as that's ~1900 res right?) but how will it be? I don't even have sky at the moment but I'll probably get it eventually but wont be getting sky hd yet.

Basically, can you advise me? :)

Thanks

edit: ....or is it worth waiting a bit, saving the extra cash and going for something like this
