Sony Bravia 40" KDL40V2000U and Arcam DV135

Reference my earlier post and problems with my Sony tv and Arcam DV135, does anyone know if the sony 40" will get the best from the upscaled Arcams picture? Play.com are offering it for half price this weekend only

40" Bravia at half price - sounds good! Is this the HDTV ready version, rather than the newer 2 megapixel full HD model? I'm going to upgrade my 40" HD ready to the 52" 1080p model soon. The 40" then goes to my bedroom!

I think I would go for a Panasonic PX70 plasma instead. Ok it wont have quite the same res but the picture looks very good indead.

I was going to get a sony w series but we use bravias everyday at work and Im not that taken with them. The look good for certain applications but not sure movies is where they really shine.
