    Hi all
    Noob here..

I am considering the Sony BDV-E380 5.1 home theatre system which has 2 HDMI inputs and one HDMI output to the TV.
My idea was to use HDMI1 for Sky+HD box (with optical audio cable) and HDMI2 for my PS3.
However, would this mean that the E380 has to always be switched ON in order for the HDMI switch to work, or does it retain the connection (e.g. HDMI1 to HDMIout) when in Standby mode?
I understand the Panasonic BTT370 does this (so called "pass through mode")
Could an existing owner perhaps confirm for me?

I also understand that the HDMI control (Bravia Sync) will disable the TV speakers when the system is ON. And presumably enable them when the E380 is in Standby or OFF... PErhaps someone can also confirm this for me too?

    Thanks for your advice!
