    Hi All,
I've an interesting issue with my Sony BDP-S6200, connected to a Philips 32PFL9604 via HDMI.

Occasionally, whatever I am watching, be it a DVD/Blu-ray, Amazon or Netflix, the screen goes blank and then the message 'Video Format Not Supported' flashes up. If it's a DVD, it is still running - at least the counter is still going up, but there is no sound or picture. I have to turn the BDP-S6200 off and on before being able to do anything else. Even having to pull the plug out for a bit before turning on again. Though off/on does not necessarily fix the issue.

It can happen over and over again so I end up watch about 4 minutes of a show at a time! And then other times, it seems happy enough to play numerous episodes without any hiccups..... (same dvd so not a case of the dvd/blu-ray being different format)

    Any ideas what's going on?
    Ta

As far as I can tell:
Checking over the internet - software is up to date.

    It is
    • Name: Blu-ray player firmware to version M21.R.0164
    • Date released: 25/12/2014
Pretty much all options in settings are set to 'auto'
