Sony BDP-S370 playing off of USB problem

Standard Member
Just joined this site and I'm in need of some help. I recently purchased the Sony BDP-S370 BD player and I am having some trouble playing video files off of a USB device. I have a Sandisk Cruzer 2GB USB drive formatted to FAT32 with several .avi files that I believe are xvid or divx encoded. When I try to open them on the video section of the xmb it says "No videos available" or something like that, basically telling me there's nothing on the device.

Am I doing this right? I'm pretty sure I read that this player will play divx and xvid.

Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately, making a folder and putting the files in it did not help. The player did see the folder but didn't show any files. Any other suggestions?

I also picked up this player this weekend.
I cannot get anything to load off of my cruzor also.
And I am going to add, when I stream videos from my PC....they look like crap. Nothing like when I stream them to my xbox.
