    Hello all,
After many years of watching terrestial TV we have finally bitten the bullit and upgraded. However the more I study the operating instructions and connection diagrams the more confused I get,so hopefully someone out there in AV land can advise me on the best way to connect everything together. What I have is as follows-
SONY KDL32S2010 LCD BRAVIA TV with the following main connections,AV1scart,AV2scart-called smart link, component sockets labelled Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr and audio L and R sockets.
    SONY RDR-HX525 DVD RECORDER with 2 scarts labelled line3/decoder and line1/TV,component sockets as TV,S video connection,line 2 out(R-AUDIO-L).
    SKY BOX with 2 scarts.
AKAI (old) VCR with 1 scart.
I was sold a set of component video cords (sony) and told these would give me the best quality picture so would like to use these ans would like to be able to use the VCR to transfer some home videos to DVD.Hopefully there's enough info here for someone out there to help.Cheers in anticipation,DCH.
