Hi, I have a Sony STR DB830 a/v reciever. When I use the test tone, I'm hearing a different tone from the fronts. Is the tone supposed to be different or is there something wrong? btw - the fronts im currently using are TDL Nucleus 2's, but using different cables for the L & R.

    Thanks

well I just swapped the speakers over and its still the same. So I can only assume that its either supposed to do that or the cable is responsible. Ill buy some new cable next time im in RS. Another thing is that the right channel is MUCH louder than the left at very low volume, this is the channel hooked up with thicker cable, Ill put that down to the lower resistance of the cable.

Might have something to do with the location of the speakers, try puting them next to each other and trying the test tones again.I used to get this with my mission speakers ,idont notice it with the tannoy's i have now.

hmm, might take these speakers back anyway, im not sure about them. Id rather have the Mission's but they were out of stock and i wasnt coming home empty handed. Also with the missions I can get the matching centre.

    Thanks for the info
