hi,

i've just purchased a sony 940 amp and
tannoy msub 10 subwoofer. the subwoofer
has and ordinary phono red and black
input and also loudspeaker level in and
out but the amp only seems to have 2
seperate outputs for subwoofers (these are
only single outputs thought). i connected up
both outputs into the phono inputs of the
subwoofer and it seems to work fine. am i correct in what i'm doing? is there a better
way of connecting this up? they're 2 fairly
popular components so i'm hoping someone will
have come across this before!!

thanks in advance,

The double sub phono output on the amp is for two separate subs. Usually on subs one of the phono inputs is for mono input (in this case with the sony it is) but some amps feed stereo output for the sub(thats why theres two phono 'in' on the sub. How you have it set up should be fine but only one phono is necessary. Hope this helps.Paul
