Does anyone have this machine and was wondering what you think on it or is there any reviews on this machine.

My old Sony 725 4 yr old has packed up (LASER...too much to make it viable to replace) and whilst I am dubious to go for another Sony I cannot find anything else other than this sony with the same type of spec and video and sound standards for the price....

any feedback would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Not sure of the price of the Sony ... but alternative that I would guess will be similar price would include Pioneer 656sa and Philips 963.

    I've got the Sony 905 - a great machine.

Fantastic picture quality and SACD sounds great. It has MP3 capability, but I hardly use it.

According to the new Sony Catalogue, they are bringing out a newer version that looks exactly the same, except it does Progressive Scan too.

    The 905 is about £350 Multi-Region.

    thanks for the feedback....

decided to go for the 905 pob as I like Sony...it is their laser lifespan I am not too keen on but fingers crossed....

The progressive scan does not reallly interest me at the moment otherwise I would have waited for this other Sony as it sounds good...I have a 4:3 dd Toshiba 37 inch crt tv which does not do progressive :)

I have the Sony on order and will let you know what I think when I get it delivered...

Thanks for all your comments guys....much appreciated..

You should be greatly impressed with the 905 if you previously owned a 4yr old Sony 725.
Coupled with your 4x3 Tosh TV - you certainly will be shouting praises from the top of your house.
