Sony 705 v Toshiba 520

    Anyone compared picture quality:
    Sony 705 with 12 bit 108 MHz DAC and
    Toshiba 520 with just 10 bit 54 MHz DAC but also progressive scan (NTSC only)?
    Presumably the Sony should have superior resolution on region 2 interlaced discs? Does the prog scan beat the faster converter on region 1??
    Both going for around £220 multiregion, would expect Sony to be more reliable and quieter runner as well

    i have a sony 705 and its quality

    well quiet in operation as that is a big thing to me

    just get the seek type noise between sections

    r/c not perfect but ok
