Sony 55X9005B and HDR - What will I miss?

I bought the Sony 55X9005B last December, and I have found it a fantastic TV.

However I have just noticed in another forum thread that the 2014 models are not getting the upgrades for HDR etc.

(please note I do not follow the tech side of 4K standards etc, so haven't heard of this until now)

So in a nutshell, please could someone explain what it is my TV will be missing out on and what it will be unable to do going forward?

Your TV will still be able to play UHD Blu-ray and streaming services so it's not all bad
