Hi, after being tempted by dlp's but wanting to wait for true HD screens (not the wobbulated crap) and realising that a true HD dlp is maybe a couple of years away I am looking elsewhere. This '3 LCD' Sony screen, is it a true 1920/1080 screen and is it 1080i or 1080P, I realise it uses three lcd panels but is it classed in the same bracket as the 'lcos' and similar screens, or is it fundamentally different ?

It's a 720p set so the native resolution is 1280x720

I see, so the resolution is no higher than the current crop of dlp's which have been getting some rave reviews from users here, especially the Samsungs. Might be worth considering one of these then.....

i have to admit the sony one is nice looking and also looking thin too, but doesnt it have digital tv built in?

not sure what the PQ is like compared to the other DLP sets but you can really go wrong for the price and size ;]

Have a look at the Sony threads, most people on this forum agree that there isn't much between the 3LCD set and the cheaper end of the DLP's.
