Sony43XE8005BU. I must have had a senior moment because instead of selecting up a program to view later I must have clicked on record (NOTE: No USB Inserted) by accident the program 45 minutes recorded direct into TV memory. Not a problem as such but the only way to delete it is reset the TV back to factory settings.
    Any feedback appreciated. Graham.

You cannot record unless you have a USB HDD connected.

JayCee. As already stated there was NO USB inserted into the TV.
So the recorded program must have saved into internal memory.

Pity it can't be deleted without doing a factory reset.

I don't have that model but I find that hard to believe. Think about it, a designer/manufacturer like Sony wouldn't have such a system.
You cannot record without an external USB stick or HDD connected.
You were probably on Freeview play and I'm pretty sure there will be a means of getting out of whatever you're playing and deleting it.
    What programme is it?
In which menu do you see it?
Maybe someone with the same model can comment?

JayCee. Yes, it's a puzzle to me.
On Remote Click HOME and scroll down to APPS
Select VIDEO and Select FOLDER and the 45 min TV recording is there with words DOWNLOAD showing.
It's got to be saved somewhere ???
    NOTE:::NO USB CONNECTED.

It's asking if you want to download it.
It isn't saved on your TV anywhere.

JayCee. Are you saying that it's picking it up from ITV Catch-up Channel 10. program HALYCON ?.
Because I had the recording from a KODI APP before it was recently shown and had not been transmitted at the time.
HALYCON was first show 2017 and at present is being repeated.

HALYCON recording is sitting there in my SONY memory somewhere.

SONY state you can't record into TV's memory...if so where is my recording saved ?.

What equipment do you have connected to your TV?

HUMAX 4000T connected with HDMI. This is used if we need to record programs, normally we view programs direct from TV.

Yes it plays 35 mins perfect...very good quality.
I'll do a factory reset at sometime but at present it would delete all my KODI & APK's which I use daily.

PS. The HUMAX although connected is always on stand-by until needed because the picture qulity is a little better direct from the Sony.

    Thank you for the contact.

Why do you feel the need to delete it?
If it's not doing any harm just leave it in that folder.

To delete the recording it would free up TV Memory space and no point in keeping after viewing.
There are a few youtube video's giving advice about Android TV's being slow to respond so less in memory the better. Most of my memory is taken up with KODI APK's which I keep limited so our Sony runs fine.
