In the national press yesterday the Sony S Range 40 inch HD LCD for £1499 at Powerhouse
I thought this was a good price and only slightly more than the cheapest online price I could find and with 12 months interest free
The ad said only first 100 customers nationwide
I could only get in the store at 5pm, but walked into their branch on Festival Park Stoke and hey presto bought one. None in stock but promised for Monday. The guy said they could supply as many as they could sell but the offer WOULD finish after Sunday and the price would then be £1900
I have seen this demo'd with HD and it looks awesome
If you are after a decent HDTV then don't miss this bargain

Well despite that cryptic dig at Powerhouse, I cannot complain at either the price or the service, arrived in store as promised, loaded into my car by friendly staff, awesome picture particularly with HD feed via CAT5 to my Showcentre 200
Like looking through a window £1499.99, a bargain methinks
    Best picture with 1080i/60hz

But what is it like with SD material? In particular Sky and the built in Freeview.
