At least that's what this months Essential Home Cinema argues. It only gives it a 3 star rating out of 5 and most of the plus points come from the sound. As I'm planning to use a seperate amp and speakers sound is of no real use to me.

It complains that there is very high pixellation on moving action shots and that the only colour it does well is blacks.

I know we can't always rely on reviews but when one is this bad surely I have to pay attention. Does any of the owners find the problems that the article highlights?

I have just been to Smiths to see the magazine. I have read reviews from it about DVD players in the past and can say I give it very little credibility. It is probably the worst and most poxy reviewer of the lot IMHO. As for lack of colour, I have had to turn mine right down, it could not be more colourful. Rest assured, if the set is right ( and that is hit and miss with all makes by the looks of things) it is the best, and not just because it is a few hundred less than some others.
