Sony 36FS70 - DRC100

    I bought this little beauty about 5 months ago, but mine only has the DRC50 mode (doubling the vertical lines), and not a DRC 100 mode

    Anyone know if an upgrade is a possibility?

    You should have a DRC-100 option! Maybe its been disabled in the Service Menu?

    Maybe its just a text thing, but on my menu options I get
    "DRC 50" and "100hz) (with no DRC mentioned).

    I understand the DRC50 mode doubles the Vertical and Horizontal resolution, whereas my "100" mode only doubles the Horizontal (although refreshes twice as often).

    Therefore if I (say) look at a DVD in the DRC-50 mode, the picture is much clearer than the 100hz mode, where "gaps" between the scan lines can clearly be seen.
