Sony 32D3000U - new owner with 3 questions!

Standard Member
Since getting this set, on the whole I've been pleased with it, although have the feeling it still needs some fine tuning.

However, there are 3 things I need answers to that I'm hoping someone can help with.

1. Whenever I play video and dvd, sometimes the picture appears to be speeded up ie, motion is too quick, yet the sound is fine. Can anyone tell me why this is, and how to cure it?

2. On my previous set, the dvd was connected via a scart, and auto-switched to 16:9 where applicable on R2 dvds. Now it is connected by componant cables it doesn't seem to do this. Does anyone know a reason why?

2. Finally, is there a subtitle button anywhere, which switches them on and off at a single press? So far it seems I have to either set them to ON or OFF.

Many thanks.
