    Hi,

I've just decided to take the plunge and swap my 8 yr standard JVC 28" for a 32" Widescreen.

What a mine field buying a Tv can be , models, faults, best prices etc etc

As always this site is very imformative , so i did a search on Sony 32" models, and its dragged up alot of p*ssed off Sony customers with regards to " scrolling bars " on the FQ models

Can anyone tell me if this fault is model related,( and is it still out there ) or is it Sony related

and is worth the extra ££££ on buying a Lowe ??

My budget is about £900 !!!

    thanks to all

    Hi welshwizard

The only FQ model to stay well clear of is the FQ75...I'm one of the un-lucky owners of it and well ****** off.

The FQ-75 was relpaced by the FQ-80 and by all accounts it's much better however it may be above your budget.

Check out the FQ-70...cracking set and you should manage to find one for your £900.

    Hope this helps

    Hi There,

I have an FQ70 and can highly recommend it. Hasn't suffered from some of the problems reported on here.

Only thing I noticed is a small buzz. Buzz not noticeable when watching tv.

    Hi,
I had one of the FQ75's.....it was a great set apart from the scrolling bars which were only really noticeable on a full totally black/very dark screen but was fortunate enough to have it replaced with an FQ80 by Sony anyway with which I'm very happy and would strongly recommend, it's a great set and looks very nice too!
    Good luck in your search
    Andrew
