I have just taken delivery of a SONY 28" LS60U, and when I have come to use the audio out RCS connectors, I find I need to disabled the TV speakers via the menus. Fair enough, until I discover that this setting is NOT retained between standby or power off cycles, so when the TV next comes on, the sound blares out through the spakers, and the audio out circuit is dead. Is this deliberate ? A fault, or just an odd design quirk ? This seems really daft to me, as it makes the audio out circuit next to useless....

PS Got the set for a decent price, with stand, online from, of all people, Comet ! Matched the best (and the worst) of the normal web sites....

    It's by design.
