Got this set a few months ago...

Anyway, I'm less than impressed. The flicker is unbearable, the noise through the digital source is awful.

Anyone got any tips on how to reduce this terrible flicker?

Im using a Philips DTR1500 digibox through a RGB Scart

You shouldn't get any flicker with a 100Hz TV. Are you sure that your dealer sent you the right telly?

Its definatly a FX68! And it is 100hz!

And there is a awful shimmering effect- maybe flicker was the wrong word. For example, with SKY NEWS, the clock appears to shake, flicker intensively.

Any fix for this via service menu?
