Sony 1200 / Toshiba HD-E1 query

    Hi - I cannot get any sound from these two when connected via HDMI, only when a coax is connected.

    Can anyone advise setting I need to enable or disable on either unit to get the sound working via HDMI rather than coax?

    Hi

    I do not think the 1200 processes audio via hdmi. You will need one of the newer sonys, 3200, 5200, which will be able to process the HDMI output.
