    Hi all,

I have a problem with audio on my panasonic hs2 and my sony str-db1080 amp, I have connected it to my sony amp using an optical cable, the problem is I have sound when watching dvds on the system but when I try to record from sky to the harddrive it is not recording the audio.
I have connected it to sky via scart, unfortunately I dont have the instructions for the unit so I can't check them.

    Thanks in advance.

Is this a sky+ box as some of them have trouble with the second 'VCR' scart. It sends the video but not audio. Mine is like this so I run scart from the TV output on the sky box through the DVDR (HS2 in your case) to the TV. It's a pain but I suspect your problem is actually with the sky box rather than the HS2.
