Hi Everyone
Setup, iPhones, Ipad, 2 x Macs. No Streaming or Apple Music. 2 x seperate iTunes Libraries. I do have a NAS that both mine and my Wife's Music Libraries could be moved or copied to.
Basically I need to put music in my new Kitchen Diner, & the music will also need to be heard in the Garden.
I did have a (Very) old Sony Av Amp and 2 x Q Accoustic 2020i Speakers (im selling if anyone wants). Connected via the old style Apple Airplay. This is no longer practical due to a room re-design and I dont want lots of speaker cables around.
I've been looking at Sonos (specifically the Play:5) for a while and lots of pals tell me "just get it" etc etc, but I started to get distracted by Bose SoundTouch and other Docks\Speakers that support Native Airplay.
Can anyone confirm that via iOS that Sonos music can be controlled (basic stuff Skip\pause etc) from the lock screen if the Sonos app is the "open\running" app? I've heard it cannot be.
Also, anyone know if the Sonos Play:5 or 3 are due a re-design?
Any other advice welcomed.
Cheers in advance
