    Folks,

I was, I believe, the third guy in the UK to own UK supplied Sonos kit and have owned it for some years.

It is very simply, brilliant. It really is as easy to use and configure as it probably looks on QVC.

One word of caution, however, is I would recommend buying (if you make a decision) from a specialist. I've dealt with simply sonos since their inception and they have been totally brilliant. Tech queries, faults (actually a user error...!) were dealt with very swiftly and efficiently. The help from Sonos also is brilliant...

    Buy it!!!

Excellent advice there, buy it from a specialist dealer who knows the product well and has installed it themselves. Whilst it is a simple system to get up and running most of the time there will also be technical queries arising from using this type of product and the other associated hardware. This is where a local and knowledgable dealer can come in very useful. Sometimes telephone support can only get you so far and so having a dealer that can actually come out on site when necessary is invaluable.

I was seriously tempted, especially because of the 3 easy payments, and their 30 day no quibble money back guarantee. In the end though I managed to hold out, and will look at it again in the future and compare it to the new logitech unit when it becomes available.

    http://www.slimdevices.com/

I can strongly recommend Slim Devices from personnel experience. I owned a SqueezeBox for 3 years. A couple of weeks ago I bought a Transporter (also made by Slim Devices) and this is even better.

The sound quality from the SqueezeBox played through my Arcam A85 amp was very good, but the Transporter is even better.

SqueezeBox and Transporter can be controled by the standard remote control, any computer, lap top or PDA running the SqueezeCentre web browser or the soon to be launched Controller.
