Sonicstage/Realplayer or another alternative?

    How do Folks?

Basically I have a Sony Net MD Walkman MZNF610 and since Sonys's own supplied software Sonicstage seems *@*@ I've been using Realplayer to burn MP3s from my PC to my NetMD. However I notice that intermittently it doesn't seem to be using all of its capacity yet it flags up an error message stating "one or more files couldn't be transferred. Please make sure there is sufficient space on your portable device and that the file type you are transferring is supported".

On the Realplayer Burn/Transfer Screen the space available (which was updating) read 83MB still available!

Any ideas what is wrong or a more effective way of transferring MP3s please?
Would it be worth upgrading to a newer version of Sonicstage (will this limit the number of times each MP£ can be played etc)?
