Everytime I load Sonicstage a new version of the database is created. I have a lot of music and this is 600kb a go! I have to maually delete old versions to stop my hard disk being filled up. Is there a way of configuring this so that only 1 back up is ever maintained and the others are auto deleted?

I don't think this is possible. I just completely delete each old back-up BEFORE creating a fresh one.

Didn't think it was possible to create backups / copies of the SS database withouit using the separate backup tool (which will only work when SS is closed); other than physically making a copy using explorer or equivalent of course!

No idea what it is you're experiencing with multiple DB's.
Could you provide any more info?
