Songbook AVR600 - no playback,Track Format error

All, I've just got a new ipad with more space and decided I'd put some music on it and download the Arcam Songbook app. However, doesn't matter whether it is an ITunes Store download, an MP3 or a Wav from iTunes client downloaded on to Ipad, nothing will play, same message "Track format not supported". However when the Songbook app is open I can use the Network option on screen on the Arcam to see the ipad and select or play any of the songs irrespective of the format.

Songbook actually seems quite neat, cover art, tracks, playlists all visible and can be built, Arcam amp is visible but simply useless as it won't play.

Oddly enough when I open the app and use the Arcams own network music menu and start playing an app the Songbook app on the ipad recognises something is playing as the seconds counter ticks along in sync with the arcam.

Very annoying, Any ideas or help much appreciated.
It's crap when used with the Airdac too. I'm starting to think the Airdac is also crap!
