I may have shot myself in the foot!!
Ive channelled in VGA and was assuming that with the imminent arrival of a z2 I would be able to use this:
SBB92S SCART - 15 PIN HD MALE RGB (WIRED RGBs FOR SANYO)
Suitable for use with Sanyo PLV-Z1 projectors, chassis numbers Z1xx onwards.
The connections are as follows
SCART pin 5 Blue Screen - VGA pin 8
SCART pin 7 Blue signal - VGA pin 3
SCART pin 9 Green Screen - VGA pin 7
SCART pin 11 Green signal - VGA pin 2
SCART pin 13 Red screen - VGA pin 6
SCART pin 15 Red signal - VGA pin 1
SCART pin 17 Composite Video screen - VGA pin 5
SCART pin 19 Composite Video signal - VGA pin 13
(thanks to Darren Fitchew for help on configuration)
[SBB92S] £29.99 (£25.52 ex VAT)
from keene electronics and a DVI widget:
DVI ADAPTORS
To adapt and connect an analogue 15 pin HDD interface to an analogue wired DVI connection (aka DVI-I). Useful if your display has both 15pin and DVI-I as it effectively gives you a second means of signal input without external switching or unplugging. Available as a cable or as an in-line adaptor;
Adaptor DVI analogue male to 15pin HD female [45073] £19.99
Adaptor DVI analogue female to 15pin HD male [45074] £19.99
Cable DVI analogue male to 15pin HD male 1.8m [45075] £24.99
[45073] £12.99 (£11.06 ex VAT)
Also from keene.
After downlooding the manual and checking out the pins of the DVI it lookds like the vga signal is reduced to 5 pins, RGB ground and HSynch.
Will the above work still? Anywone know how the DVI adaptors are wired and if there is another scart converter I need
