I have an azur 540r, and have had in the past sherwood amps which i had stuff on top of, and they broke (both the same fault) and i wonder if it was heat build up causing this. Im now terrified of putting things on top of my amp, where there is loads of vents and although i don't feel much heat rising (there is some but not boiling), its very hot to touch. So the question is, will putting things on top of the amp, or not leaving much room for ventilation in general (there'll be lots round side and back) damage the amp and/or shorten the life of the amp. I realise there is safety circuits but i'd rather not test them out! Someone told me the Azur amp had a fan, i see no fan or hear no fan, can anyone confirm this?
