Someone please help me out!

I have a Hitachi 42PD4200 and just recently the screen is very bright. It doen't really affect me apart from when the screen is black. It looks greyish colour. It seems as if the TV has a light inside it. Can anyone help me?

Anyone? I really need help with this problem.

So please can anyone? Its getting annoying now. The TV is very bright in dark, black areas.

Yep even if brightness is turned to the lowest it is still grey-ish where its supposed to be black.
