For THE SIMPSONS' 17th season, actors Kelsey Grammer and Alec Baldwin will once again provide voices for the show.

Baldwin will play a marine biologist who attempts to steer Marge away from Homer, while Grammer will reprise his role as Sideshow Bob.

THE SIMPSONS has also lined up Dennis Rodman and Terry Bradshaw who will play themselves for the Halloween episode. And the New York Yankees' Randy Johnson, boxer Joe Frazier, and actors William H. Macy, Frances McDormand, & Richard Dean Anderson will also voice characters during the season.

The first episode of the new season will premiere in the US, September 11th.

Still laugh when I recall the ep when O'Neill has his memory wiped but recalls a fat/bald guy who wears a short sleeved shirt name of...........Homor :)

You've got to assume they either tie in Macgyver or O'Neill somewhere along the line.

More details on R.D.A in the simpsons.

The first details on actor Richard Dean Anderson's upcoming The Simpsons appearance have been revealed! Anderson will play himself in an episode titled "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bangalore," which is expected to air on or around March 26, 2006, according to The Simpsons Folder (via the Richard Dean Anderson Web Site).

Anderson is kidnapped by Simpson in-laws Patty and Selma -- notoriously fanatical fans of Anderson's MacGyver -- when he visits Springfield.

Now that scenario has promise, good job for him Patty has interests elsewhere so he'll only have to fight off Selma:)

Aledgedly Groening wants to finish it in 2007 (after a movie) but you never know - if the popularity is still there it could go on for ever

THE SIMPSONS MOVIE finally inching forward!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with some good news for all of us longtime Simpsons fans. Yes, I did at one point own and wear my very own Bart Simpson Don't Have a Cow, Man! shirt. We've gotten multiple confirmations all day yesterday that the movie really is moving forward... Both from official executive peoples and Bart herself.
Contractmusic.com got the word on the script from Simpsons spokeswoman Antonia Kaughman. Here's an excerpt:
The show's principal voice actors have all signed on for the project and creator MATT GROENING is delighted with the script for the film.
The Simpsons' spokeswoman ANTONIA KAUGHMAN says, "Now we're going to get the best of both worlds, evidently... They finally worked out a movie team, a team of the writers, because we could never hire outside writers - they had to be Simpsons writers, and most of them were working on the show.
"They finally put this team together that has time on the side, and they've been working on the script. So the movie won't be at the end of the series - they'll be working simultaneously."
So, Groening is happy with the script, written by the cream of the crop of the Simpsons writing team. Score. Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart, has also announced that they've begun work... which I assume means the voice cast is at it. Rumor has it as a 2007 release. Good ol' traditional animation. Gotta love it!
I got my fingers crossed for a great flick from these guys. They better be careful. There's a lot of Comic Book Guys in the audience looking for any excuse to proclaim "Worst... Movie... Ever!" I have faith, personally. What about you folks?
