    1) How will it work?

    2) Will it be free like DS, or will there be a flat monthly fee charged, (or on game basis!?).

    3) I'm importing a USA PSP, will I still be able to het online with it in the Uk?

    4) Will it matter what combination of region PSP and software for multi-player LAN gaming?

A week or so and all your questions will be answered... maybe.

As a guestimate / what people are currently doing:

    1) Use wifi to connect to hotspots (like in cafes etc) or your home wireless network, and from there to the internet / PSP gamerooms etc.

    2) Should be free, at least all American online games so far have had no hint of a pricing structure. Of course you are paying for an internet connection at home in the first place, buying games etc. But no hints of anything on top yet.

    3) Yes. At least importers of Japanese PSP's can play worldwide at the moment via Xlink Kai.

    4) The big unknown unfortunately. Should be no compatibility probs (NTSC vs PAL) so it's only the wifi code or them doing a form of region locking. Here's hoping not since Sony is on record as wanting people to buy a game anywhere in the world and play it.

    5) See above. Same Q&A really isnt it?

Er, yeah it is really. According to IGN it will be possible for people with PSP's from different regions to play games via wi-fi if the discs are from the same region. his is because the wifi compatibility is encoded on the disc rather than in the hardware. However, I don't think it will be possible for people to play with different region games. Well, Jap and USA games seem to be incompatible. Just hope that UK and USA games will work.
