Just today come back from the Peak District where we camped in a little place called Edale. Did various amounts of walking and drinking, the latter being the most prominent for some reason

Anywho, here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure, all have been cropped in one way or another and had some colour adjustment carried out in Photoshop, the most significant being the sky shot, it was extremely red already so I have just increased the colours a bit more to really show it off :)

    Comments welcome.

I was hoping to get a picture for the competition some time over the weekend, but alas, no opportunities arose. I did take a few shots of the village of Hope from the top of one hill that I can't quite think of the name of at the moment, but, looking at them, they don't really fit the theme. I'll post one now.

edit: no I won't, they are worse than I thought

Great pictures Steve, but I think it's about time you invested in a new caravan :rotfl:
Is it just me or does the cow on the left look like it's saying something to the other one? Could be a good caption picture that ;)
    Cheers,
    Oddbodd.

We stopped at some small site right in Edale, the very start of the Penine Way. We stopped in Hayfield last year. Both lovely places!

We were in Manchester on Monday Sean, but I had no access to the internet and didn't have your phone number either :(

That first pic was actually taken in broad daylight, but I was messing around with the camera settings so much that I needed the flash to get any light then at all, really strange effect I think, and one that happened completely by chance

Only a little Canon A95, I tend to take pictures on the highest resolution at the moment so that I can crop out the most appealing part of the image and retain as much quality as possible. The caravan and tree shots were quite heavily cropped. I knew what I wanted with the caravan shot so took numerous from what limited angles I had available.

I think all of the pictures would benefit from a nice border/frame of some kind, but I didn't have the time to try and work out how to do it in PS

I'm happiest with the cows picture myself, easy subjects cows 'cos they just stand and stare :smashin:

We actually only walked for about 6 hours over the time we were there, two walks of about 3 hours each. The rest of the time we were not really capable either through being drunk, stoned or suffering from the night before

We did head toward Crowden Clough and up one hill called something 'Tor' but not sure which one that was :rotfl:

We will no doubt go again next year, get Diane into the idea and we'll meet you there :smashin:

I was surprised the last time I walked up Mam Tor - they had installed steps up to the top on the last bit of it
