I currently have a 28 inch digital Sony widescreen with an X-box as a dvd player and i'm looking to add a surround sound set up, my budget is about 300 pounds, i'm not looking for tons of power just a nice clean surround sound effect for movies and games, could someone answer a few questions?

    1) What are the pro's and cons of an integrated dvd player and amp over a dedicated amp?

    2) if i wanted to add a dvd recorder to my set up would it still be easy enough to have the games console connected as well?

    3) If i play an audio CD do i need the TV on or does it work independantly?

    4) Would you have any manufacturer or, even better, a model to recommend?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    OK here goes

1)You only have 300 pound to spend so you have a choice of.......not a lot. I think you have to go for a DAV system

2)Depends what connection you have on your TV

    3)No TV needed

4)Have a look at these DENONS
