Some beginner questions

Hi all,

I am looking to purchase a PVR but with the main purpose of using the features that I used to have with my Sky+ box.

Namely pausing live TV and being able to rewind using the time shift feature where the previous 30 minutes were constantly being recorded.

From reading various different posts on this forum I get the feeling that only the live pause is possible and not the rewind function.

Also, are there any boxes out there with HDMI connections that upscale the freeview picture with any noticeble improvements?

The new Humax PVR-9300T will allow you to rewind TV on the current channel, it also has HDMI out although I don't know what the quality is like from it.
