Hi, I am looking to buy a speaker system and have around £350 to spend. Currently, I am thinking about either the Mordaunt Short Premiere Plus system (then purchasing an additional rear center speaker), or the Mission FS1 6.1 system. Are these systems good (or are there better)? am i going in the right direction?

    Any advice is welcome

MS are good but also consider Canton CD1 and CD2.22 stradle budget and would need to add extra speaker as centre rear..... Suggest CD2.22 and extra CD50 for centre.... see www.canton.de if budget is tight ie £350 is max go for CD1 adding CD50 (as centre and use other centre as rear) or CD10 (one left over), best prices are found in germany..... importing yourself...

thanks. the CD 2.22 is a bit out of my price range really, cheapest I could find it is 700. Is the CD1 better than the Mission?

Playing Devil's advocate at this point Horny- will you honour the warranty on a parallel imported CD2.22?

I wont (unemployed) and i doubt any dealer would which will mean shipping it back to retailer in germany (with sub £££) but as your saving 50% many feel it is worth the gtamble and i am sure there will be an EU directive stating that you must offer pan euro warranty... Canton warranty might even be pan Euro I cant say

And if they do break you can buy a second pair and it will still work out cheaper than the UK price!

I have just ordered CD1's from www.technikdirekt.de and they cost me £218 including postage!
