My company asked me to take some images for a corporate brochure on Monday evening and they needed them by yesterday. I did what I could and found out this morning that they're using 2 of them - they required 6 images in total and used 3 stock from an agency, 2 of mine and 1 from the pro we usually use. The brochure is for our parent company and will be glossy A4, going out to other companies. £70 for 2 JPG's, both taken in my back garden.

    A result!

I still have the company calendar and annual report coming up and they seem pleased with what I have done so far, commenting that I'll definitely be used for both the calendar and report if they're of the same standard (and I know I can do better).

The brochure will be delivered to us on Monday so I'll post up some pics of that if anyone's interested.

    Congratulations mate :smashin:

I'll bet it's very rewarding (not just moneywise :D ) selling your own pics and getting them printed.

I'm looking forward to getting my first DSLR in a month or two and would love to be able to do the same... but I won't be holding my breath ;)

Looking forward to seeing a couple of pics of the brochure.

    Regards,
    Iain.

I don't know about that Iain - I only started in March of this year. I'll post up the pics I used tomorrow as they're at work and they're nothing special IMO. Certainly many here can do better - as with most things it's not what you know that seems to count.

Here are the pics used - as you'll see, nothing special at all. I had just 3 hours to do these in though, hence limited imagination!

The headings I was given were "Strong Partnerships" and "Stability"

For the former I thought of this as something where both parties are dependent on other

And for the latter, something where stability was crucial:

I'll post up pics of the brochure on Monday so you can see how they were used.

The bee photo was a D70 with a Tamron 90mm Di Macro. f/3.5 IIRC.

    The stabilisers was a Nikkor 50mm @ f/5.6
