Sold my 3g 16gb, how do i wipe everything off?

Hi guys

A bit of a dumb question LOL, but as I'm sending my 3g 16gb to it's new owner tomorrow, do I simply reset to factory settings?

Will this wipe everything on it completely?

Just restore the phone, this will wipe everything off.
