yes I have. I bought it recently and loaded it on my macbook and my wife's I mac.
It is basically Microsoft you are buying from, they have the license to sell at cheaper rates for those in education. I also got a copy of Vista for about £60 from them.
    Go ahead mate very reliable.

If you meet the criteria then it is fine. You do need to enter the name of the student and qualifying education institution they attend, which I am sure gerbilly meant to say

sure did, I put in my daughters school, as long as you have a family member in education then I think you meet the criteria to qualify.:)

Does anyone know how the licencing works with Software4Students if the PC on which the software is installed is also used for business purposes by a member of the family? What if you work from home and the family PC is also the business PC?

Technically you shouldn't install it. Technically you also need to declare a benefit in kind for the private use of your business pc.

Me personally keeps a very clear line between business and personal assetts. You know you will be audited at some stage when in business. At the very least by HMRC which could end up costing you more than you saved.

You can load it onto more than one machine but can only run one intance at a time. This is actually enforced as excel/word checks on startup whether another machine is running it. If it sees one it then pops up a warning box and will not allow the local copy to start.

Theres always the student version that gives 3 licences, but does not have all the software the full version has.

My experience has not been good. Ordered Adobe Master Collection on October 4th. It has still not arrived. They do not respond to emails within their own stated SLA, phone calls go to voicemail.

    Avoid.

Its unreasonable to suggest someone avoids a site based on one order of yours that hasnt arrived. Give information by all means but qualify it.
What does your order status say? Its on your account page. I ordered software for my daughter which arrived in 3 days. Another order stated 'waiting validation from Microsoft' and that took about 10 days to come through. Obviously they have to work to licence requirements set by Microsoft or Adobe

For me it was a good service and the prices for eligible users is unbeatable

Here's the qualification you seek - according to their website it shipped on October 4th. They do not respond to emails as per their stated service levels. Phone calls go to voicemail. They do not phone back. This is not my idea of good customer service. I'm glad things have worked out for you, but for me it's been a shambles.

I will now have to spend time trying to get my money back, which considering their lack of response thus far will not prove easy.

I've dealt with them on two occasions, and purchased Mac Office 2008 and Office 2007 Enterprise from them without any problems.

When I did contact them by telephone (to resolve placing a new order since changing ISP) they answered straight away, and were most helpful.

On both occasions my software arrived within a week.

Better news, sort of. Finally got hold of them. Looks like the delivery is a goner; if it ain't showed up by now it probably never will. I was offered a refund or a second attempt at sending the software. I went for the latter, though now Royal Fail will probably screw things up. Apparently s4s only use them, and everything goes through the London sorting office, which is one of the most militant. I need some good luck now...

Second order came thru fine. Looks like Royal Fail is the culprit - on this basis I've changed my view of Software4students. I now recommend them - great prices and once you get thru to them they sort stuff out. :smashin:

By the way, Adobe MC is pretty awesome stuff.

Very low prices will attract you to this seller an on occasion you can make a reasonable purchase however beware. I purchased Microsoft Office 2010 and specifically requested it to be sent on disc. This request was ignored and instead i received a download. I e-mailed immediately but software4students refused to help at all. Any company that takes credit card payments for items that you have not ordered could quite rightly be accused of carrying out fraudulent activity. I would not trust this operation again, who knows what other strokes they pull!
The matter is now with my credit card company.

I have ordered from them about 3 or 4 times and they have completed the orders properly within 2 days, so I think it was just your bad luck, a very good company I have found.

I have just noticed a withdrawal on my credit card after I presumed I had failed the bona-fides checking. I'll let the forum know how ease the refund is.

It is a totally legit site that has been in business for many years. Much easier to blame suppliers isn't.
