Just got hold of one of these, and am delighted with the performance (so far!) ... checking their website, the latest software introduces few additional things... (mp3 recording for example)

Have tried to update via the incoming siganla, but tells me "no upgrade available".... there is !! according to the website.

Have downloaded the latest upgrade but need what looks like a special cable to connect to the 8000T... Have scanned Maplin's catalogue, but cannot find it!! Its an Rs232c with that goes to a small round input on the humax..

Anyone done this upgrade, or found a supplier of the cable !!!

    Thanks in anticipation...

Humax will send you the adapter if you contact them.

However the current S/W has problems - see other threads for more info.

Unless you really need to record radio broadcasts skip this update and get the next one over the air in a few weeks (hopefully).

Do a search through the other threads. There is lots of advice including how to make your own cable.
