Guys should i update my PSP so i can play Midnight Club 3 as at the mo i cannot play it
I don't see any reason not to update to the latest firmware version unless you intend to run homebrew stuff like emulators etc. I just take whataver updates come along. Does The game tell you it needs a newer firmware version? If so I guess it's a clever but very sneaky way of Sony ensuring people take their security updates.
It will update it to 1.50 which is still subject to exploits
Yer had to do it as Dead To Rights wouldn't play either.. me thinks this is why no games have been released for ages.. sneaky Sony!
1.52 is the latest update I think.
Worth doing if you are running your psp on a encrypted wireless network.
Did this yesterday to play MC.
What a great game. Graphics and physics are so much better than ridge racer.
It depends on how badly you want the game. There are very few games I would want that badly to remove the possiblity of homebrew. Since MC only updates it to 1.5, that's fine as 1.5 supports homebrew. If it were 1.51 or 1.52, I'd steer clear as from what I hear you can write a novel during the load times in that game.
hmmm. sounds like the update 2.0 should be worthwhile though. A web browser and the ability to have your own wallpaper. Both nice additions. According to PSPupdate available on the 27th.
No way. If you have a version 1.5 unit I wouldnt bother with the updates. They will be available via exploits before long anyway.
