At the moment I am using a pair of B&W 601S3 with A Nad c350 and a Sony SA 680 cd player. The setup is pretty nice to listen to except for the harshness. There s-sounds are very harsh. I don't suppose there is any way of solving this without buying new speakers? Anything that you would recommend for around £200-250?

btw, other B&W users, do you find your speakers to be quite sharp, or is it just mine?

I do not recall any reviews of the B&W's being harsh sounding. Have you had this system a long time or changed anything recently

I have had the system about 6 months. I think the reason i have noticed it is after listening to a my brother's pair of quad 11ls. So any recommendations?

I have no knowledge of your CD player but it might be worth borrowing another player and see what happens.
